Prior to Bar Method my weight slowly crept up on me to the point where I didn’t realize how much weight I had gained over the past 5 years. I had heard of group barre exercises that were geared more towards sculpting the body rather than training on pointe, but never really pursued it. I consider myself as having been an active person, growing up dancing and participating in sports. I reached a point in my life where I started to focus more on my career than my own health, and it felt like one day I woke up and I was unhealthy and overweight!
My sister introduced me to Bar Method earlier this year. It was the BEST decision I’ve made to date. Not only have I found a workout that isn’t boring, but it’s something that I feel motivated to do and truly get a whole body workout. Having danced in my younger years I was comfortable with the exercises and related to them much more. But the great thing about bar is that you don’t need a dancing background to do it, just the drive and will to make a change. I’ve found Bar Method to help contribute to my home, work, health and life balance.
This journey over this past year has helped me incorporate this into a lifestyle change to my overall health and wellness. I find myself more balanced and enjoying life much more. Thank you Bar Method!
